As you may know, there have been plans underway for Homeowners Choice Property & Casualty Insurance Company to issue replacement policies to United Property and Casualty Insurance (UPC Insurance) policyholders in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Jersey only. We are pleased to announce that this plan has been approved by the state regulators.
We look forward to having you as a customer. We want to ensure that your transition to Homeowners Choice is smooth and simple. If you are currently an UPC Insurance customer, you’ll be receiving more information in the mail soon, including your replacement policy, so please be on the lookout. No action on your part is required unless you wish to decline our offer for coverage.
In the meantime, feel free to contact your Insurance Agent or Homeowners Choice Customer Service at (888) 210-5235 with any questions.
There will be no lapse in coverage for UPC Insurance policyholders.
The Homeowners Choice replacement policies will take effect immediately when the UPC Insurance policies are cancelled on April 1, 2022, at 12:01 AM local time and will end on the anniversary dates of the original UPC Insurance policy.
After April 1, 2022, all payments should be sent to Homeowners Choice at P.O. Box 23177, Tampa, FL 33623, or call (888) 210-5235.
